Thank you so much for finding us and taking the time to check us out! We hope to see you in the studio soon!

What to expect?

Pilates is a mind/body exercise. It is designed to help strengthen your core, lengthen and strengthen all your muscles, and improve muscle imbalances so you can move efficiently. While you learn the five basic principles and body awareness, class progression will be slower. Have patience! Precision of movement will ensure proper muscle activation and help prevent injury.

Each class will be tailored to individual needs to make sure everyone feels both safe and challenged in their Pilates practice.

What to wear?

Come to Pilates prepared to move! Comfortable clothing is a must. Form-fitting clothes will help us ensure you have the proper position and technique, but not necessary if you feel self-conscious. Some of our exercises are performed laying down with our legs in the air, so tight fitting shorts (you can have a looser fit over the top) or longer pants is a must for men. Toe-sox (socks with traction) are recommended but not necessary. Please leave your street shoes at the door.

Who can practice?

Anyone can practice! We can adapt and modify all of our exercises for injuries, ability levels, age, and fitness. It is beneficial for everyone, whether you are an elite athlete at the top of your game, recovering from injury or muscle imbalance, a weekend warrior, or simply want to improve the quality of your life. We do require doctor’s consent if pregnant or currently undergoing treatment for medical conditions. And we love to work with physical therapists to get you back on track after surgery or injury!

What results can I expect to see?

Joseph Pilates famously stated, “In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body.” Pilates is designed to give you results, but the amount of effort you put in will directly impact your results. We recommend practicing Pilates at least three times a week. We know it isn’t always feasible to schedule three privates a week, so we can help design at-home Pilates workouts to keep you on track!

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! We love the idea of giving health and fitness to those you love. Gift certificates are a great way to show you care.

I’ve never done Pilates, what is the best option for me?

Please sign-up for our online zoom mat class. The class meets once a week on Thursday mornings. This is a great way to develop an awareness of the five basic principles, as well as develop your mind-body connection. And, it is a lot of fun!
